40mph I believe is the deactivation speed.
Anyway, as Robert said he already installed the Torsen:
"I did install a V8 Torsen rear diff that I bought from Bob Pastore. It did
help a bit with the rear brakes, but it helped more with the drive out of the
corners."
Robert, so where is the EDL still activating then?
I would thought the worst offense area would be exiting the corner, which is where you say it helped...
By "helping" on corner exit, that means that before the Torsen install, one wheel was spinning, which means the EDL was activating.
Then again with the Rear Torsen, the wheel can still spin, though that indicates that the opposite wheel is receiving 80% of the rear axle torque, and the spinning wheel is still spinning with only 20% of rear axle torqe (before Torsen, each wheel gets exactly 50% of rear axle torque).

I thought that, according to the owner's manual, EDL deactivates over25 MPH...
