[s-cars] Aftermarket radio ideas

I think most people will tell you to get rid of the entire stock system
and tell you the Bose is crap.  I say stuff 'em.  They will also tell
you the stock wiring is impossible to figure out and to run new wires
too.  With a little bit of thought and maybe some help from me you can
build your own wiring harness to interface with the new head unit quite
cheaply.  If you have already gone aftermarket, then my whole rant is
useless except for perhaps my suggestion of what head-unit to get.

I'll give you three options

Cheapest, reliable, and matches the stock illumination perfectly

save for three blue buttons (that could be modded to red with some

I need to replace a stolen radio out of my wife's 93' 100cs Quattro
Avant.
Any recommendations are appreciated. Before anyone bashes me for asking
this,
the car has the complete S4 interior in it from a parts car I had. She
wants an
in dash CD head unit. There is no need to spend over $250. I looked in
Crutchfield, I just want opinions from this group.
