Igor, after how many weeks of driving you insane with intermittent
buzzing did you find the sumbich??
Hehe.. Well, I have also found another place, and that's the connector
between the two stacked PCB's. (right behind the tacho, if memory serves
me well..) remove the offending Torx screws, and flip back the hinged
part. The connector is pretty fine-pitched, but just clean it with
alcohol and a q-tip, and apply _some_ contact grease/enhancer. Should
work for at least two years.. (Mine did, is pretty bad again now..)
Do the work at a near-ESD-safe location, as the computer chip is a c-mos
part, and is unterminated while the cover is open.
Bjorn :o)
'92 S4 MTM (Which doesn't help a bit when it comes to bad connections in
the IC..)
