[s-cars] Oil on Spark Plug

In short; No.
Oil on the outside of the spark plug *must* come from the valve cover
gasket. (VCG) There's no way that oil can make its way into the plug
'pit' except through the valve cover openings! (The plug is located in
the middle of the combustion chamber, and there's no oil around it, just
valves and ports.)
Just order a new from Scott, Blau or wherever. It's a 1 beer job, and
you save $'s in time on new plug extender caps..

Bjorn :o)
'92 S4 MTM (Still nice and clean after changing the VCG last spring..
Oh! and a new oil filler cap didn't hurt either! This one actually have
a rubber gasket! ;o))

Subject: [s-cars] Oil on Spark Plug

Gents,
Changed out my fouled Bosch plugs tonight w/ some new puppies. But I
noticed on Cylinder #2 (assume counting from FW) that this plug had some
oil around it. I didn't see any oil leaking from the Valve Cover Gasket
on this cylinder, or any others. It is it possible that my head gasket
is leaking there?
