It "could" result in more front brake bias, it could result in more braking
front AND rear without a change in bias at all, it really depends on 3 or 4
channel abs urS, and other factors (wheel/tire, spring rates, modified cog,
etc...). I'm not at all convinced that G60's have a rotor problem at all. IN
fact, I put a set of "baby black" fixed caliper Brembos on a 5ktq with stock
rotors, and the braking was phenomenal, and rotor wear reduced to less than Big
Reds with colemans (btdt) on the same car.
I put less credit in pads, and massive (if not all the) credit to the fixed
caliper Teddy. IME/O, the G60's biggest problem is caliper stiffness,
specifically the carrier stiffness, and related, the crap carrier pins. These
shortcomings result in high heat in the caliper environment, which toasts piston
seals, pads and rotors with aplumb. On a 60f/40r car pretty inexcusable, audi
made a lot of "bigger" brakes since the G60, but it seems historically audi wants
to avoid the use of fixed calipers on all but the RS2.
Even porsche was concerned about the caliper stiffness in the urBig Reds.
They took a basically stock Brembo off the shelf fixed caliper, and spec'd
bigger bolts between the halves to address this. The 996 and boxster monoblocks
raised the "bar" even more in stiffness, but reduced effective pad area as well.
I smile when I read all the system xx's... Hey knock yourself out. My
claim is only that a fixed caliper is 90% of the benefit, 6/8/10 pistons? Hey
it's your wallet!

in case anybody starts wondering, a conversion to big reds from G60s
could easily result in more front brake bias, despite the lower effective
piston area, because they work on larger rotors. pad selection also
plays a role, and to a lesser extent, so does caliper stiffness.
