Karl- I offer to you my condolences as well...

My Pearl 92 was hit almost exactly the same as yours, except damage was to
the passenger side.  Front fender was only nicked, and rear quarter also
only scratched.  RH passenger door wiped right out, drivers side scratched
and thus saveable.

My ins co haggled with the dealer, had to accept a used door, and finally
got the car fixed for just under 5,000.  The whole pass side of the car was
sprayed, and was not blended - some audiot dealer body tech dude didn't
paint match by blending - the rest of the car was probably just taped off.

The car looks good, but no matter how many times I've
waxed/cleansed/polished the old paint, it just won't shine up quite as nice
as the new - which I only wax.  Probably never will in my eyes.

I regret not haggling more for a complete respray, and I've relocated since
then which doesn't allow me to pursue this any further.  BTW- this collision
was also not my fault, I was t-boned in a parking garage in NYC while the
attendant was moving my car to a spot.  The b-pillar was moved by the
impact, and after many hours on the frame machine, the job is so good that I
DON'T get any rattles or leaks, and the doors shut as they should.

Good luck, and hope some of this helps.  Next time, I'd prefer to have it
totaled and I'll start over again.
