Gents,
I have decided to try the car w/o the steering boost and I can't remember if
it's pulling a relay or unplugging the wire that is more recommended. Could
someone point me to which relay or wire?
I've just recently had my car aligned and it's dead nuts on (by the numbers)
and the tramlining isn't as bad as it was, however it's still worse than any
other car I own. The alignment specialist said it's my wheels since my off
set is 35 (SSR - Integral 2 - 8.0x18). He even put on a stock set of wheels
off a 200tq and the ride was noticeably better. I know a lot of guys are
running offsets that are further out than mine. Does that really make for
worse tramlining?
So I was thinking about a very slight tweak. I remember on the subject of
tramlining that a few listers had turned the nut on the tie-rod (right side
IIRC) 1/12 or 1/6 of a turn to give a slight toe in. My question is with a
slight toe in I'd expect poor tire wear, so for those guys who did that
adjustment what were the results both short term and long term as far as
handling and tire wear.
thanks,
Ken
