[s-cars] silver paint

Before you go about doing really aggressive stuff like clay,
try something like 3M Imperial Hand Glaze or Imperial Machine
Glaze- the Machine Glaze did wonders with a friend's car, really
brought the pearl white paint from looking rather chalky to a
nice, pearl white shine.

I like the Machine Glaze simply because it's more consistent than
me doing by hand and it's much faster than the Hand Glaze.

Try this first, DO NOT use rubbing compound and if you must use
a polishing compound, start with the fine cut in an inconspicuous
place first. Use it in straight lines in the direction of wind flow
as the car travels forward for best results, IMHO.

I'm using a Porter-Cable 7424, not the best buffer by far.

Naturally, you must wax the car afterwards.

Stefan,
Give Igor a bottle of vodka and I'm sure the two of
you can claybar the car one evening, that should rule
out the clearcoat at the very least and probably make
the car smoother than a baby's ass in the process.
