[s-cars] silver paint - claying question

Taka: As the articles states, Claybars will remove contaminates {tree
sap, bugs} including paint overspray from the surface of the Clearcoat,
i.e. particles that are adhering to the surface, but will not remove
minor scratches or swirl marks that have penetrated the surface of the
Clearcoat. P21S Cleanser not only removes surface contaminates like a
Claybar, but also will remove some swirl marks as well, but not as much
as a polish or a rubbing compound. Therefore, a Claybar can not be more
aggressive than P21S.

I've talked extensively to the owner of Car Care Specialties about
this, here are some of his words on his website:

Taka,
We must be using different claybars. The ones that
I've used remove surface dirt from the clearcoat and
in combination with a decent hand glaze, the car is
glass smooth without removing a lot of
paint/clearcoat.
