Minea,
I was running MTM 1+. The first time this happened, I was 70 miles (112 km)
from home and had to limp home with the hose only partially off. I can hear
the turbo spool up, but I don't know if I would call it a whine or a
whistle.
If I did do some damage, what is the recommended course of action? Wait
until it gets noisier, or look for a rebuild kit now?
TIA,
Douglas

Douglas, if you can't hear any whining yet, I am sure you didn't damage
anything. What damages the most a turbo is to run it at high boost levels
(a la MTM 1+ for instance) with a boost leak, because the turbo will be
overspinning in order to give the boost the ECU wants to see. Otherwise you
should be fine!

Mihnea
