[s-cars] RS2 v. CT Emissions

I have just upgraded my 200 20v to an S4.  Fortunately/unfortunately, this
is only the first of many upgrades.  I am considering going with a partial
RS2 upgrade of some sort; either turbo, em and chip, or turbo, em,
injectors, MAF, and FPR.  My question is this:  has anyone had trouble
passing smog/emissions with modified cars?  Obviously, the last thing I want
to do to modify the car to the point where I can't legally drive it on the
road.
