The S1 I saw at PP '99 used a single bosch plastic bypass valve. Car kicked
ass and sounded good too!
Not sure "20%" more flow means a damn thing, or is a "good" thing, or if it
plugs into the stock line, is a truism. You could double the flow by putting
in two stockers if you so desire. Too much dump with a big heavy valve, and
you have more recovery time, so turbo response could get worse. About the only
"good" I could see running aftermarket, is if the preload is adjustable.
Still, better ways to spend your money, IMO.

Frederic,
According to their website you get 20% more flow. Now whether or not you can
actually feel a difference remains to be seen but I am under the assumption
that my stock one is on its way out and I just put it in a few years ago,
that is the new Bosch unit too. I noticed that a few listers had other
aftermarket bypass valves so I decided to try one that maybe someone had not
given a try. I just visited their website and they also introduced what they
call a "Super Dump Valve" This sorta works the same as our bypass valve but
it vents into the atmosphere also causing the cool chirping sound you hear
on the S1 and the Trans AM and IMSA car!
