I have been to the manufacturer of this unit and he offered to let me try it
for free. Unfortunately I could not see any significant scientific benefit to
spend another 5 hours of my time mounting it in my car.
The good news is the motor probably uses 4.5A max. ... so you don't have to
worry about those wires going into the unit from melting ... believe me they
are unable to handle 45 amps. The bad news is this is not enough to make a
significant change. It may facilitate airflow ... if you plan on putting in a K&N
air filter this may be "safer" substitute and provide about the same results.
What you need is something like this -

I happen to have the Turbopac 1500 sitting in my garage ... bought it before
the technology was bought by Garrett. The only reason I was looking at this
unit was to decrease turbo lag ... it does use in excess of 80 amps and will put
out 3 PSI of boost till ... need to dig up the calculations. I built a
complex electronic controller to run it off a separate battery that controls the
charging of the battery and activation of the unit (only after the alternator has
been taken out of the loop) and kicks in only when needed to spin up the main
turbo charger ... (the controller monitors parameters in the ECU etc). The
price to pay is probably an extra 50 lbs and complex plumbing and has a high
probability of being a complete waste of time on our cars. The project has been
in a holding pattern for the last two years.
This is the type of technology that may make some difference.

Unfortunately with fans you can't get significant positive pressure to make a
difference.
