Doug,

Yes, I did notice that during some of the sharper corners, that the gauge
did move as well.  Your right, it does sound like the sender unit is
getting stuck... I wonder if it can be removed and cleaned to fix the
problem?  Has anyone tried this?  Or is a replacement the only way?  Does
anyone have a used sender they could sell me cheap?

I've had this problem for quite a while, another symptom is that the gauge
will move with hard turning - not sure which direction it is though -
Haven't done anything 'bout it yet, but others have and I think its the
sender inside the tank getting stuck in it's movement.

Has anyone ever experienced there Fuel Gauge fluctuating between 3/4 and
Full... with a full tank?  Mine just started this weekend.  I filled it up
on Saturday and drove about 30kms and noticed that it was on 3/4 ?  I
thought I might have not filled it right up to the top?  But it stayed
reading at 3/4 for another 170km... which would be about right for highway
travel.  Then it seemed to read accurately from that point on... all the
way down to under 1/4.

Then on Sunday I refilled the tank again and made sure that the tank was
right full.  The gauge went right to Full, initially... but as I got on
the highway, I monitored the gauge more closely and noticed after about
30kms, it began to fluctuate between 3/4 and Full.  It did this about 4 or
5 times over the next 10-20kms, until it eventually stayed at 3/4.  As it
did on Saturday, it stayed right at 3/4 until about 200kms into the trip
and then began to read accurately again?

Any idea's... is this a sign that the fuel tank sender unit is on its way
out?
