Hi,
I unfortunately have some experiences around clutch deaths. Two exactly.
One on my S6 Plus after 3 very hard track sessions. One with a Sport
Quattro when doing some comparisons with the RS6 MTM. In both cases, the
clutch pedal was sticking to the floor. For the S6 Plus, after 30
minutes of cooling I was able to go back home by using 1st and 2nd gear.
But with extreme caution. Regarding the Sport Quattro, the car left the
highway on a truck.
Bu on the Sport Quattro, the clutch was already in bad shape due to the
owner driving style. so not completely my fault ! !
Regards,
Frederic

Subject: [s-cars] Beware Samco install leads to clutch failure:(
Short version:
Does a pedal sticking to the floor on 2 out 3
depresses signal an over all clutch failure. It still
engages but practially 3/4 inch of the floor.
Long version:
Well while I was away for a week my Dad got bored and
I came back to find my hoses were installed (thanks
Dad).
He says he drove it once and it was fine I decided to
take it for a spin. After my spirited dirve it was
still fine. Park and leave for an 2 hours -- start it
and I immediatley stall when moving from parking
space. hmm must my jet lag let try again...same result
clutch engages a little bit above the floor now, use
to be higher. Oh and now pedal on 2 of 3 depresses
stays on the floor. Ok....cursing, crying and all
around screaming commenced. I limped it off the street
into garage. Brake light stays on the entire time btw
bomb kaput?
Any BTDT, Direction pointing and new swear words to
use (I am running out) are welcome. Oh feel free to
say I broke it while you are at it:)
