[s-cars] Updated: Timing Belt R&R How-to

I just did my timing belt for the second time last week (90K gone by
already - where do the kilometres go?) and I took the opportunity to update
my timing belt R&R write-up (the one that Jimmy hosts on www.urs4.com).
I added crank and cam seal R&R procedures, a fastener size/torque table,
appended the serpentine belt tensioner R&R procedure, and clarified some of
the other procedures, including the calculation for torque wrench setting
when used with tool 2079 (based on torque wrench length).
If you want a copy, let me know, but be warned - it's getting massive, the
.pdf file is 2.65 megs.

Jimmy, do you want me to send you the updated version for your urs4.com
website?

I had a bit of trouble this time around getting a good water pump. I
ordered the Audi rebuild from the dealer, but it came in with a broken
impeller ( these are rebuilt in Italy with plastic 5 vane impellers). I
ordered a second pump and it was so tight you could barely turn it by hand -
and it squealed like a stuck pig when it did turn. I ordered a third pump
and an aftermarket pump. I chose the aftermarket pump - it's made by Hepu in
Germany and has a 7 vane cast iron impeller, so it should circulate more
water than the Audi rebuilt pump.

Otherwise, the job went well. I'd recommend changing the cam and crank
seals every t-belt change - I didn't change them last time and the cam seal
was leaking this time. The t-belt isn't really meant to run in oil :o).
