[s-cars] Throw-out bearing

Yup a couple listers have that problem. What is involved is removing
the transmission and replacing the bearing. The bearing itself is not
very expensive. I would suggest rev matching until your clutch wears
out and the tranny needs to come out anyway, or you get the urge to put
in a 6-speed.

Subject: [s-cars] Throw-out bearing
I have a whine coming from my drive line only upon down shifting/engine
braking and not all the time. The harder I engine brake the more likely
the sound will occur and the louder it will be. It has been suggested
that this can be a bad throw-out bearing. What is involved in repairing
a throw-out bearing?
Thanks,
JR
