[s-cars] Radio shut off

Hi all, my wife's 95.5 Avant radio keeps shutting off while driving. It all 
started when we replaced the ignition switch. I only replaced it because we 
were going on a long trip and I didn't want to have anything stupid get in the 
way but before when we shut the ignition off the radio would stay on until the 
key was removed. Now the radio stayes on with the key removed and turns off 
every few minutes while driving. I replaced the ignition switch again but its 
still doing it. When it goes off I can hit the power button off and on and it 
will come back on but for only a few seconds and then it goes off again. Do you 
think this has something to do with the ignition switch or is the radio going 
bad or is there another part to the ignition that needs to be changed? Thanks,
