If you have installed a larger rear stabilizer bar on your 1992 thru 1996
S4, S6 you may find that the lower brackets that attach the link rod to the
wheel bearing housing are inadequate for the increased loads. The original
bracket cantilevers the lower link rod off of a single flange bent out of
the bracket. I have designed and manufactured a new Bracket which puts the
bolt in double shear and greatly increases the strength and resistance to
fatigue failure. See photos for illustration.
The Lower Bracket Kit includes a right and left lower sway bar link bracket
and 4 spacers. The Drop Link, Nuts, Bolts and Washers from your previously
purchased RSB are used with this new bracket. Brackets shown are painted
silver for display purposes, the parts will be supplied powder coated black.
Price $50.00 plus shipping.
Parts will be shipped UPS unless otherwise specified.
See the link below for photos of the Bracket and installation.
If you would like to see more photos please E-mail a request.
I have 50 sets of parts fabricated, they need to be powder coated prior to
shipping. I anticipate that powder coating will take a week, parts should be
ready to ship by the week of September 6.
