Did Ray's post answer your question?  I can't tell if these are the same
cars or not.

I live in the St. Paul area, but do not know John Bird.  I am a relatively
new S-car owner and do not have encyclopedic knowledge of the S-car
community here.  Perhaps Darin can pitch in here if he is reading his
emails.

There is one John Bird listed in the St. Paul directory with an address of

176 Mississippi River Blvd. So.

A fellow lister (currently unsub'd and not yet advertising) just informed me
that he is looking to sell his S4 to a good home (too many Audi's and not
enough track support vehicles):

93 black/ecru, 157k miles, IA stage III (277 HP), BIRA system 1, Bilstein
HDs, Samcos, lots of new suspension parts in the last year (i.e. bushings,
tie rods, control arm/ball joints, etc.), t/b, w/p, v/c gasket, fuel filter,
plugs, etc. all replaced in the last 15k.

Hello All!

There's a car for sale in MN - 1993 S4, black, MTM Stage 1, extra set of
Ronals, new timing belt, etc.  Owner is John Bird.  I was wondering if John
was a lister or if anyone on the list knows the car.  It's located in St
Paul, MN.  A friend of mine back east (NY) is very interested in buying it
and we were trying to find out how closely linked this car is with the
Quattro/S-Car list community.
