[s-cars] RE: AAN CR vs 3B vs gaskets

Last minute CDN$0.02:  Personally, I was surprized that any one was
claiming that ALL S-cars had the all-metal head gasket.   I always
thought it was a mid-run change, like Aug. 94 for the first S6's. (Note:
that is just a wild guess).  As with others, I know my carbon fibre 93S4
(10/92 build date) had a paper-metal head gasket.  It developed a leak
between No. 1 and 2 - weeped coolant.  I had it replaced with the all
metal head gasket (and had the head freshened (new seals, valves
lapped/ground), timing belt, etc. done).  So I do not think that
paper-based head gaskets were an "anomoly" at all. I think they were
very common if not de rigeure (sp) in the 92, 93 and 94 cars.

In my humble opinion.
