[s-cars] Igntition switch failure?

Whilst driving to the movies tonight, I notice the uhh  uhmmmm, no display on hvac unit:(  Then use turn signal and that doesnt work either.  No lights neitha.
Park the car at the theatre, turn off, then turn on.. nadda.
No starter action.  
I believe these are symptoms of igntion switch failure??? although I think I had the recall done several years ago.
I have found a write up on how to change this out but, weren't there pix somewhere too??
Any thoughts, hints suggestions are welcome.
