Also - dont forget to mention this turn back trick to any substitute
drivers! Our car has the same problem which ive lived with for 2 years.
Last month my wife let a detailer friend drive the car to his shop from
her work. 6 miles and it would not restart. I asked him if all was OK
during his trip.. He said yes. After more probing he mentioned he had
heard a strange sound...........
New starter = 225$ installed.
Now ill fix the damn switch!

>The reason the starter can get affected is that the switch gets stuck in the Start position. This is also why you have no HVAC, lights, etc. as these items are disabled through the X cut-out relay when in the Start position to reduce the battery load. So, after you start the car turn the switch back slightly to make sure you are in the Ignition position (fans/lights working) to save your starter.
