So, after all the hub bubb (aka hubbub) WRT fixing my ignition switch
yesterday, I get to the stealer at 10 to 5 yesterday only to discover
that I left my wallet in my desk =/ Idiot!
So, I get home and of course the flat bed arrives right at dinners
start. It is now such family sport to watch dad's pig unloaded off the
flat bed that it has become a Kodak moment to assure that it lives
forever.
Anyhoo, all came apart okay. (And; it's a small flat head screwdriver
that's used to unscrew the set screws that hold the switch in place.
(BTW))
Soldered in new bulb for ambient temp display. I suk at solder and just
clipped off the old bulb leaving as much old wire as possible and
soldered the Rat Shack bulb wires onto the old wires. Tested with 9v
battery.. Aokay nice:)
I also emailed sister (whom I think also shares this new family defect
on her S4) to remind her to make sure her key is in proper position
after starting and that she doesn't have a 10 pound weight for a key
chain. She emailed back " ...and thanx for the switch advice...I have
keys like a janitor....bye..."
Ah ha! She owes me big! Why do folks attach all this crap to their car
keys?
With luck tonight I'll get the thing back together and pray the starter
isn't toast.
Cheer's
Bill m
