[s-cars] FMIC Alternatives - ROT thoughts

It's managed (the 2D system I used) by tapping a lead off a fuel injector,
and using that to drive a high-speed valve which cycles according to the
duty rate of the fuel injector. Essentially, you're adding a 6th fuel
injector, except it's spraying water/washer fluid.
It is tied to boost pressure as well, so there is an absolute that it won't
come on below (I set mine at 15lbs of boost). There are simpler systems,
which just use a boost pressure setting and then come on full, but it's hard
to get the nozzle sizing right, as at part low boost you'll get too much
water, and at high boost too little water.
With the valve, it's variable flow, so you can use a bigger nozzle and be
confident it won't make the car bog at lower boost/throttle settings.
The main washer fluid tank would last me one 30 min track session in the
summer heat. It would last a really long time on the street...probably
weeks, unless you drive on the street like I do on the track. You could
always plumb an aluminum tank in the trunk if you want to keep things slick
and separate.
