In addition to the recent suspension work accomplished on my car, I also had
some fuel delivery mods done. While out in California for the ACNA Nationals,
I did some baseline runs on a chassis dyno to set my air/fuel ratio. My
wideband air/fuel gauge's O2 sensor was kaput and I wanted to get some accurate
readings at sea level. During these runs, I noticed that my fuel delivery was
tapering off at the top end. I backed the boost off to prevent any problems at the
track. This was only a minor issue here at altitude but I knew I needed to
provide some additional protection for those high boost runs. Trevor Frank
suggested going to larger injectors to allow running a lower fuel pressure with
increased fuel flow capability from the stock fuel pump.

When I got back to Colorado I had several discussions with Dave Jones about
how we might go about correcting this issue. Based on his recent findings with
the 2 European Car magazine competition cars, he suggested increasing the size
of the fuel lines, adding a fuel reservoir and a high flow fuel pump. So,
that's what we did. It is just so cool to have this type of expertise available
next door here in Colorado. Here are 2 pictures of the my new fuel delivery
system. See anything different?

Brooks, the same guy at Autosport Werks that does the FMICs, welded up the
fuel reservoir which is the piece that mounts vertically. The other piece that
mounts horizontally is the Bosch Motorsport high flow fuel pump. Brendan Rudak
did all of engineering and fabrication work on this installation. In addition
there are the new fuel lines and when Sportec gets back in town we'll throw on
the larger injectors and reconfigure the programming to compensate. I
apologize to Dave Forgied for not having everything polished for this picture but
Dave Jones wanted everything mounted and leak checked before I did that. I'll
have those pieces over to my polishing shop next week Dave.

I'd like to say I felt a big difference on my butt dyno with this mod but by
its nature that's just not the case. I did notice a significant increase in
boost pressure requiring me to dial things back to get to my street low boost
setting of 24lbs. Its going to be real interesting to see the dyno numbers once
Sportec is finished with the software. Thanks again to the gang at Autosport
Werks for pulling this off.

Hap, fueled to perfection in Evahboost, Maguire
