[s-cars] ECU what is the trick to open it

OK. I've got the ecu on my table. The side that doesn't say MOTRONIC has a few screw heads, that I'm reluctant to unscrew, and a bunch of metal tabs curled over the edge of the metal case from the other half of the cover. Do you need to pry all of these tabs so you can separate the 2 halves, or is there some other trick I'm missing. I don't seem to see any "tool marks" from any previous attempts to crack this case open. I am hoping to get the serial numbers off of the chipset and transducer to verify if I have MTM 1+.  Any help is appreciated as I don't want to fry my brain. Thanks.
