[s-cars] VAG-COM adapter location

Bob,

If I recall, having read somewhere, the end of the importing of the 2.2l I5
was due to Audi not wanting to spend the $$ to certify the motor as US OBDII
compliant. If that's right, a US spec car would not have an OBDII
connector, although a Canadian car would. Also might explain the 95.5,
which is actually a '96 Canadian? , but US required all '96 model vehicles
to meet OBDII - which is more of an emissions certification, than just the
connector, so I could be all wrong.

Anyway, My old 95.5 Avant did not have OBDII connector, but you will see it
in an AAH (A6) of late '95 and beyond.

Correct me here, someone that *really* knows.
