Sorry I can't help with your question, if you have a digital camera could you snap a few pix (manuelsanchez at starpower.net) of your bumper assembly without the cover on, in particular, the mounts that hold the cover on. I had an encounter with a wheelstop that partially ripped off my front cover and I'm curious as to how best to attempt the repair (I'm using zip ties now and they seem to be working).

Hello all,

I spent a fruitless hour trying to put on my freshly painted Euro rear 
bumper, the new bumper mounts are in, the side mounted snap mounts are in, no matter 
how hard I try, I cannot get the sides of the bumper to go in. Is there a 
trick, i.e., keep the upper part pushed in and try to get the lower part to go?

Also, to those who have done this on an avant, is there a filler panel that 
mounts to cover the little gap between the bumper and chassis right at the 
liftgate?
