I sent the same info to Nick off list earlier, with the exception of the 1
kohm resistor on the black wire. At first I was thinking along the same
lines that the black wire was intended to allow the lights to only operate
with the ignition on (black is typically wired through the ignition switch)
but that doesn't seem to make sense as the yellow trigger wire from the
headlight switch already goes through the ignition switch and is also wired
through the X-Cutout relay so that it disengages during the starting
process. So I'm a little stumped on the purpose of the black wire as it
would seem redundant to the yellow wire. Obviously I'm missing something.
But I agree that red is the main power for the ballast, yellow is the
trigger, and brown is the ground for the circuit so start with those three
first and see what happens.
