Feico,
My definition of peaky means that boost comes on late IMO, and this is
confirmed by the peak torque engine speed.
Don't worry about increasing boost at part throttle, I know what you mean
but it happens to me to do it too. Done it for a customer who wanted 3/4 of
full boost available at 1/2 throttle and it works a treat.
Now the idea is that most of the performance chips out there only contain
changes in the WOT areas, which is an option too but not if you also want
to improve driveability...
Oh and BTW, the last lines in the fuel/ignition maps don't always mean WOT.
Easy to know when playing with a real-time emulator with a real-time trace
function, and also easy not to know when not using this kind of toy, I've
BTDT until a few months ago...
Mihnea
PS: altitude? If 50 meters above sea level is altitude, yeah :-) oh and
BTW, the altitude and temperature compensation for boost in the MTM 1+ chip
is totally deactivated.
