Bentley wiring diagrams. Verify that it is connected on the rear of the socket. This is the front lighter yes? What year escar? Does the front interior light work? AC control head work? If so, you have juice in a '94. In '93 if the power is not present due to a blown fuse there are many items that also will not work. Trunk light, footwell lights, central locking  and others. Check fuse S8 15 amp. Fuse S48 in a '95 supplies juice directly to the front lighter. There is no rear lighter in a '95 except mine. Rear lighter in previous years (to '95) is controlled by the lockout switch (for rear windows) on the drivers door. There are many possibilities although it usually ends up being simple. Use your wiring diagram and start chasing.

For some time now I have had no juice coming from my cigar / splifflighter, radar detector socket.  Before I go chasing it down, has anbodyexperienced this failure.  All fuses are fine.  Where should I look first?I need my radar detector working for this weekends planned road trip.ThanksAaron T
