So after the new radiator, my cruising temperature, on the HVAC code 51
check is now slightly lower. Previously rock solid 86 degrees is now
hovering about 81, only reaching 86 or more standing in traffic. Mechanic
said he did not replace the thermostat, so the correct one should be in
there. Other than the t-stat not functioning properly (not closing
completely), is there any thing else to check before another t-stat.

Interesting.  Have to verify via the HVAC code, but analog readout remained
at ~ 86C (1st bold hash) after my recent non-Behr (that's what Force 5 sold)
radiator replacement.  I'll try and remember to check the digital value for
ya.
