[s-cars] Fed up with IR system !

James,
I'm with Brian. I remember the days when mine worked. That week was good.
I think it still works now, but only with April fresh batteries. I've grown
weary of trying, and now just use the key... just like my old Toyota Camry
in college that only I could open by inserting the key all the way, then
backing off about 1.5 mm - starting the car required about 3.7 mm and a bit
of a torqued twist. Every once in a while I'll try again, but alas, if it
works, only for a few tries. As if to show off, my wife's Jetta that my
irritable S shares a stall with knows my VW key from hers and unlocks and
moves the seat and mirror in position as if to say "look what I can do".
The S turns up her nose and goes back to sleep...
Defeated,
