mine (IR) hasn't worked for a while. it stopped working one day, and
even though i swapped the batteries, it still didn't work. i once tried
to reprogram the system to accept the key, but it didn't work. i might
not have done it properly. i haven't bothered to try again, since the
IR system wasn't all that useful anyway. i had to be standing right next
to the car for it to work, and it wasn't much easier than just unlocking
the door with the key.
the RF conversion with the prestige system sounds promising, but i've
already got a lot of projects. maybe i'll do it sometime.
