Ah Lee.
It has been a few years.
I can see your Carmod addiction is in Stage 4, and your wit follows closely behind.
I was addicted to Carmod once, as evidenced by the attached link for my 4000 in my original post. I have since found a support group (and even a sponsor!) for my problem, and I am proud to say that I have been clean for three years now.
My support group (three _way_ too pretty daughters) make sure that all of my resources are spent practically, and only on necessities, like those shoes, or that top. They also keep me very distracted on other things, so I have no time to stray.
My sponsor (wife) hovers with near telepathic capability making sure that I heed the desires of the support group, and is always there with the "look", should I be tempted by a hood release latch, or if my tool box beckons.
With this structure in place in my life, things have gone very smoothly. Looking back, I feel somewhat guilty of all of the things my addiction deprived them of.
I look forward to being back on this list, and enjoying again having an Audi, however "stock" it may be.
I do request however, that none of you listers out there do anything like tempt me with great deals on - or even free! - parts. It could send me spiraling down that hole where I don't want to ever go again.
;)

Somebody want to tell Craig?
Or should we let him find out for himself.
He drove a 4KQ to high mileage, prolly didn't have to do more than change
the oil and wax the car every now and then.
Now he's got himself hitched to this bitch goddess and he likes things just
the way they are.
Oy, he's such a virgin. I remember those times. I brought my car home and I
was so happy with it just as it was. Then I needed to replace a shock and I
did Bilstein Sports. But I wasn't going to lower the car. Didn't need to.
Nope. Did one autocross and immediately ordered the Eibachs. Then I put euro
lamps on it, which were great. Fabulous. But then of course the HIDs are
even better. Wow! Now I can see. Gotta stop too, right. Okay, lessee, do the
996 C2 calipers come in red? Extra cost option? Great.
...and so on and so on and so on... :)
CRAIG - RUN, DON'T WALK TO THE GARAGE. DON'T LOOK AT THE CAR. GET A SHOVEL.
GO TO THE BACKYARD. START DIGGING. DIG A DEEP HOLE. THROW YOUR WALLET IN IT.
FILL THE HOLE. MAKE IT SO YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE YOU DUG.
THEN BURN THE SHOVEL AND TOSS THE METAL PARTS DOWN A SEWER.
You'll thank me in the morning.
:)
