[s-cars] Chip - best choice

Hi Bob:
I've had the MTM with the 3 bar pressure sensor for about 8 months now
and I'm very happy with it. I use 94 octane and have very little issues
with detonation. Being at sea level and mild summers probably helps.
Personally, I like the kick in the pants feel of the MTM, while others
may complain that its either on or off. I can be hard to modulate and
you will need to change your driving style to be smooth. Three other
options which are reportably smoother are Intended Acceleration and ASW
or custom programming by Mihnea. I'd recommend getting an adjustable
pressure sensor (Vmap) and setting it to 2.8 bar which normally cures
any detonation.
If you are looking for all out HP, then go for MTM, if you want smoother
more drivability then go for one of the last three. Mihnea is a good
choice, he is very knowledable and will tune the chip to suit your
conditions.
One caveat is to make sure your car is in tip top shape _before_ you
start chipping it. Spark plugs, ignition coils and tubes, POS, boost
hoses, O2 sensor, bypass valve, etc.
