[s-cars] RS2 Turbo or Innovative Turbo's K26/RS2++?

A while ago, I remember discussions on the regular quattro list regarding
the RS2 automobile as a whole as being very laggy/doggy in the low rpm range
and having a big power dump later on. I believe it was Pantelis who owned
one at the time. Is this accurate and if so, does a chip fix it or are other
things needed as well?
Thanks,

Subject: [s-cars] RS2 Turbo or Innovative Turbo's K26/RS2++?
I've been getting a few hits on the RS2 turbo group buy vs. Innovative
Turbo's K26/RS2++ mod (the turbo Cody and I run). I hope this helps making
a few decisions:
It depends IMHO on:
1. the total set-up of the car, and
2. your preferences of power delivery.
1. If you are going the full RS2 set-up, including the 26 PSI software,
either turbo is great. Anything less in terms of set-up (IA Stage 3, MTM
1+), go with the RS2 turbo.
2. If you do go with the full RS2 set-up, ask yourself where you like the
power delivered. If you are a sub-3,000 rpm driver, go with the RS2. If
you drive like I do, which is slow driving most of the time, but when I want
to GO!!, it's normally above 3,000 rpm, and I want all the Bolt-On power I
can get, go with the Innovative K26. Note I said bolt-on power. I'm under
the impression that the Garrett hybrid turbos offer better performance than
the Innovative K26/RS2++, but they don't bolt on.
Price for Innovative's turbo is $950 w/ exchange K26.
