[s-cars] Fumoto valve- Problems??

Bob: I think I started the recent Fumoto thread. I was "concerned"
about a bit of weeping at the end of the valve just after I did an oil
change. I think it was temporary.

The lever that moves the ball valve from opened to close appears to be
stainless as is the ball itself. The lever locks in quite solidly in
the closed position. In fact, when I was changing the oil, I struggled
for a few seconds to get the lever to move into the open addition.
However, if you have ever experienced problems getting the OEM plug out
of aluminum pan (heat expansion and dissimilar metal corrosion issues),
then you will LOVE the Fumoto valve. When you have the belly pan on, it
is covered and will receive very little if any salt spray to cause any
corrosion.

Despite my "weep" issue, I personally wouldn't go back to anything else,
and especially not the OEM nightmare plug.
