[s-cars] How do I stop a line crack in my windshield?

I agree with Mark.  I have two stone chips in my original 93 S4
windshield that I have had repaired because I didn't want to have the
monkeys f'up my car replacing the windshield - the paint scraping, the
future rust, the black urethane sealant on the ecru mouse fur A-pillar
covers, etc.  I'm gonna hold out as long as I can.  (I have rust around
my wife's Jetta windshield that was likely started by one of the
windshield replacements it has been subjected to).
