Yes, I agree... as my car has been all around that area, Whistler included, 
and I never experienced problems.  It appears that our cars have the same mods 
as well.  You may want to check the airflow to your IC, and if you don't have 
the lower pan, create a duct to make sure the air is forced through the IC.  
That proved to be one local listers issue... as high intake temps will create 
problems.
