[s-cars] was Neu S4 v. M3 -- was Buick ... now Audi customer

I haven't found that Audi is particularly good with customer feedback..
heck, I wouldn't be surprised if their reliability department gets most of
their info from reading Audiworld. I've had several problems with various
Audis, and I've placed calls into Audi's customer care department.
None of my cars have had a warranty when I owned them. If ya don't have a
warranty, they won't even give you the time of day. I certainly don't feel
that the customer service group has a weekly meeting with the quality or
reliability group.
I recently had an ignition switch failure on my 95.5 S6, and I checked it
out with the NHTSA. Lo and behold, it was under a recall. They wouldn't
honor the recall, no matter who I talked to and how much I complained. I
even wrote a letter to Audi corporate. They forwarded my letter back to the
customer satisfaction group, which promptly called me to say that nothing
had changed and they still wouldn't honor it. Somehow my car's VIN didn't
end up in their computer, when it clearly was in the VIN range indicated on
the recall sheet. Arr. So now it's to the point where I've considered filing
a civil lawsuit for a stupid ignition switch replacement.
Car companies are like phone companies... anyone who's ever had a billing
problem on their phone will know what I mean.
Sorry for the rant
