Gary,
I'm going to chime in with another suggestion and you might want to do this 
whether you bead or not.  Weld a upright flange to the ends of both pipes 
some distance from the ends and then connect them with a threaded linkage 
turnbuckle with clevis and pins on both ends.  Every single Audisport race 
car I've ever seen has such connections with all their intake plumbing from 
the turbo to the Throttle body.  This setup will effectively eliminate 99% 
of the forces on the hosing trying to rip the connection apart.  I'm not a 
big fan of intake plumbing connected by a piece of hose with two hose clamps.

Looks like this, but with a clevis on both ends.
