I was rigging up my pedal following the two screws at the hinging point idea
and when I popped off one the clips that holds the assembly in place, it
flew behind the carpeting into the abyss.  Does anyone know if this little
clip can be had at the dealer or have one lying around for some odd reason.

Ah... precisely the reason I left mine ALONE.  Someone recently said "after
a few minutes w/o it you quickly become accustom"...  yep.  Welllllllll,
that and oh my spring broke off in the *prolonged period* it took me to
actually go out and buy the hinge for the fix, rendering that option now
kaputz.  Que sera sera.  Can heel / toe perfectly without it.  Must be that
antiseize I put on there <ducking>...

So if you are going to do the hinge-method, do it sooner than later or Mr.
Springy will snap off.  Plus, driving it w/ the spring jabbing into your
sole sorta blows...  driving Rossato's car @ multiple-hour-multiple-digit
speed to Indy F1 revealed proved this (tho he likely has the replacement @
home but uses it as a recipe holder or spoon rest, to accompany his RS2
paperweight and CRB ottoman and Stromung wall art).
