I thought I'd jump in here with a few salient thoughts. This is not a good
location for a most important monitoring function of the AAN. It belongs in a
HUD type location. The A-pillar would be the most logical. Why are some of you
wary of the ricer look. What's more important, the look or the function. Next
to temperature and oil pressure, this is the most important function to keep
track of. This is not something to take your eyes off the road to look at.

In my recent S-men of Chicago post, I talked of driving Bill Mahoney's Avant.
Very nice car but... His boost gauge location is similar but lower yet at the
ash tray level. I could never get a good feel for his car without an easy
boost read. In addition to boost I also run EGT at the A-piilar on my car. I have
the gauges oriented with 25 psi and 1400 degrees at the 12:00 o'clock
position. I don't even have to look at the gauges. I can actually feel them with my
periphery vision.

Hap, still in dahkine Kona place but soon to be back in Evahboost, Maguire
