The LH and LHA suffix on the NTN 6203 bearings indicates high temperature
service (max 250 F). NTN only supplies these bearings in Europe; they are
not available in North America. The bearing guy tried to convince me that
high temperature wasn't necessary, but given the tensioner is directly
behind the rad, it's kind of a good idea to use a high temperature bearing.
I have just rebuilt my serp belt tensioner using a SNR 6203.FT150 bearing,
cost CDN$26. This is a high temperature bearing good up to 150 C (300 F).
The rebuild is straightforward - I took a set of photos, I'll put together a
how-to on it.

S-fellows -
Sorry for the waste of BW.
Inspection of the "old" tensioner has revealed the same easy access bearing
design (removable cap) as the "new" tensioner I received today.
So this is probably old news for most of you.
The only difference is the part number for the bearing:
NTH 6203LH (no A)
A brief internet search today revealed lots of 6203 bearings, but none with
the LH or LHA suffix.
On the plus side, now I have two tensioners, which, when rebuilt will be
good for the next 120K, knock on the proverbial piece of wood.
