Sounds too coincidental.  Definitely worth looking at that area first, Marc.
The hose comes down the right side near the kick panel, goes into a 1-2 inch
plastic box (moisture trap), and then plugs into the ECU.  You'll have to
remove a couple of black plastic covers to get to the ECU.  Make sure you
also check the integrity of the cloth braided hoses at the connections.  Bob
Myers recently had a similar problem that was due to a crack in one of those
braided hoses.
