[s-cars] boost guage question

I think the best place to tap into is the just prior to the ECU. Never tried any other locations...

Just installed  autometer boost gauge. Tapped into intake. Only showing 7 lb vacuum and 10 pounds boost. Seems to be running OK. Any help appreciated.
