[s-cars] Several Sudden problems

Hi Y'all,

I just got back from a run up to Columbus (more later) and then on to
Mid-Ohio track for some racing (also more later). My '95 urS6 developed a
couple of new problems seemingly pretty much all at once. The day before
leaving town 1. the ABS Off light came on and 2. my cruise control quit
working at basically the same time. I can't tell for sure if it was at the
exact same time or just on the same day since I wasn't running on cruise at
the time. Also 3. the OAT display light burnt out.

Does this particular combination sound familiar to anyone? Might there be
a common root cause for the CC and ABS problems? Or is it just
happenstance that they happened at about the same time? I figure the OAT
light is likely to be totally separate. This will be the second time I
will have replaced that little grain of wheat light bulb. Other than the
few minutes involved that should be no problem.

Additionally, 4. while in Columbus my OEM analog telephone let out a
godawful racing electrical motor sound for a few seconds and now the phone
display says that the phone is locked. It did this all on its own while I
was driving down the road. Does this behavior sound familiar to
anyone? If so, what's the solution?

5. A few days earlier the right mirror reverse gear dip feature stopped
working. The selector switch remains in the right mirror selected
position. Switching it back and forth from side to side had no effect. So
where do I look for the source of the problem?

Gee, only a little over a week ago I was congratulating myself that all the
niggling little things were running right. The moral? Don't tempt the
Audi gods. :-(
