[s-cars] Wastegate Questions/and Valve Cover replacement questions

What do I need to do in order to tell if my wastegate is shot? Do I just need to
get a new gasket, and spring?

Also, how difficult would it be to replace he valve cover gasket? Do I need to
mess with the camshafts at all? Do I need to rent any tools?
